Laura Pierce

Dr. Laura Pierce joined Sunshine Dentists in 2011, after spending five years providing quality, comprehensive dental care to the working poor of Nashville, TN. As a dentist and the Clinic Director of a non-profit, Dr. Pierce's passion for dentistry and heart for people helped transform countless lives by transforming their smiles. Dr. Pierce’s experience with complex and wide ranging dental procedures has shaped how she delivers modern dentistry today, leveraging the advancements in dental materials and technologies to restore esthetic form and proper function. Dr. Pierce's practice philosophy is one that emphasizes education and prevention through proper and timely diagnosis, comprehensive treatment planning, and clear communication.

Dr. Pierce has established a diverse and impressive record of technical accomplishment. Graduating in the top of her class at Loma Linda University and honored with the prestigious Chancellor's Award, Dr. Pierce has not only gained the respect of her university, but has been honored by the Western Society of Periodontology and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Dr. Pierce has also received an award from the California Dental Association for original research in postoperative pain management.

Dr. Pierce is a clear communicator with a sincere and friendly personality that naturally makes her patients comfortable and puts them at ease. She and her husband Jeff have a two year old daughter. She enjoys time with family, traveling, playing tennis and running.

Dr. Pierce is a member of the American Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.
